I started these sketches with me wanting to draw Clara helping Kree with his pin feathers...but then I just wanted to draw Clara playing with Kree all cute-like. But here's some info about Kree molting and growing back feathers!
Since Kree is very large compared to real-world birds, his feathers take a lot of time and energy to grow. To prevent inhibiting his flight as well as conserving this energy, Kree loses feathers very slowly and in small sections at a time. So one year his head might be making pin feathers and another year it might be a small section of wing! Sometimes it can even be a feather here and there all over his body. After mating with Clara officially, she starts helping to break apart the waxy coating pin feathers are incased in in a very satisfying, scritchy way that is a bonding experience for the both of them. It's a big part of harpy culture to help family members preen so this is one of the ways Clara indulges Kree/ shows her love.

On a personal note: I've been speaking with a therapist lately about my career troubles she's recommended me to start taking Adhd/add meds! I'm sure you've all noticed my severely lacking post these past few months and it's really been eating me up inside. I don't want to take advantage from the generosity of others. So I've been seeking help and I'm hopeful that medication will help keep me on track and bring me back to doing the things I love: Making content that you all enjoy and have the kindness in your heart to pay me to do.
