Kree falls in love with Clara pretty early in the story! They meet in the early summer and before the first hint of autumn arrives he confesses his love and tries to woo her. It's obviously an uphill battle with Clara first not realizing she even CAN have romantic feelings for someone of another species. And sadly he leaves for winter that year after she properly rejects him after offering his feather the first time. But her rejection doesn't erase the time they spent together.
