oooooh-kay...
i literally had to push through one of the hardests slumps i've had in years with this one. and i made one full circle in the process. and it's kinda weird, because this is a cool character, right down my alley.

so i couldn't come up with the right idea for a couple of days, browsed hundreds of references and even after i found one i liked the most i didn't really enjoy how the process was going even though i almost finished it. i closed the photoshop file and decided to do something entirely different later.
then i started to sketch a new one today and ended up hating it as well. and after a while i came back to the first sketch i made and looking at it with a fresh eye it seemed kinda okay. so i finished it and here we are. shit like this happens, i guess, but i still feel very underwhelmed with the result. probably because i didn't have a clear vision of what i'd like to accomplish in the first place. even though it'll probably look fine to me in a week or so. i hope to revisit this character one day.  

p.s. one interesting thing though: i wanted to make a colored background with several abstract shapes and all that initially, but the more stuff i erased the better it started to look.
p.p.s. also yes, i definitely went against my own "not gonna paint this one" smh
