Don Quixote & Sancho (Patreon)

Don Quixote and Sancho, as interpreted by Fate/Grand Order. Obviously I loved Don's design immediately - I've never seen this character portrayed as anything but tall and very lean, so the dwarf aesthetic was a welcome change! As for Sancho Panza, they decided to make him a lady, which, y'know, typical Japanese video game mindset on that one. However, because the original story of Don Quixote and his faithful squire had such an obvious feel of something more between the two, feels a little like gay erasure to me? Like, what, the two can't have this close, compassionate relationship unless they're male/female? So I did what comes naturally and made Sancho male (again), or perhaps just  gave them male equipment downstairs and they like being treated as a lady by Don in other ways. That much at least I'll leave open to your interpretation. :]
