Old Snake & Otacon (Patreon)

I always enjoyed playing through Metal Gear Solid games, or in a couple cases, watching my room mates play through them, but I only ever had a passing crush on Solid Snake. Of course that was before MGS4 came along, and aged him right up into the silver fox shown here! I owned MGS4 but never beat it, probably because I really never had a fondness for shooters. Even Old Snake's incredible ass wasn't enough to get me through the gameplay. So I did what any reasonable simp would do and watched the 7.5 hours all cutscenes playthrough on youtube! lol. Immediately it rekindled my love for Old Snake and reminded me of the surprisingly beautiful relationship between him and his longtime best friend, Otacon (Hal Emmerich). In MGS they meet and Hal asks Snake 'Do you think love can bloom on the battlefield?', Snake looks at him and answers: 'I think anytime, anyplace, people can fall in love with each other.' Now fast forward years to MGS4 where these two still work closely together, neither one has had meaningful female companionship (when there is some M/F interaction it's corny and short-lived) and by the end, it's  just the two of them, and Otacon asks him to stay with him and Sunny (basically their daughter). Snake agrees to spend the rest of his remaining life with him. IMO, they share a more believable, realistic and genuinely loving relationship than any other couple in this series. So yeah, I ship them pretty dang hard.
