It was my first Halloween with a guy as my boyfriend. Well, technically I had been with an ex for a Halloween years before but he had just wanted to stay home with the lights off, and not even a Jack-o-lantern out front! He really puts in the effort to make me happy. I'm not used to it yet, but I'm getting there. The best part though is we found a big, local Halloween party for adults downtown and the boss really wanted to dress up and go. It's honestly not really my thing but, well, he brings out a more fun side of me that I don't always remember exists. It was my idea to do a couple's costume though, because I've never gotten to do that and he was really into it. Found a red cape and some other stuff at a Halloween store and a rubber nose, ears and gloves for Oscar. Voila, Red Riding Hood and his Big Bad Wolf who's really only one of those descriptors. 'Big sweetheart bear' doesn't quite have the same ring to it though.

Oscar's full costume also has these like, faux fur shoulder pads, a ripped-up tank top and jeans, and I thought he was already dressed, so I was a little surprised when he came back into the bedroom without the shirt and pants.

"What if we left a little bit later?" He suggested.

"I mean, okay I guess that's fine. You may recall that you were the one who said we should leave now."

I laughed and smiled. We had now been together for the best eight months of my life, and I hoped this horny honeymoon phase would never end.
