Whores of Darkseid: Black Canary + Zatanna [SKETCHES] (Patreon)

Here, as promised, are the sketched pages featuring the brutal battle between Black Canary's strike force and Darkseid. As you can see, it went about as well as all the other heroes' attempts... He didn't even need the help of his Female Furies!

It's been a while since I looked at these sketches and I was surprised how finished they actually are. The action reads more coherently than I remember and there are some choice moments -- check out the look on Dinah's face as Darkseid's hand covers her mouth or Booster's vicious dismemberment (I must've been thinking of Infinity Crisis when I drew this).

One of the reasons this did drop off, IIRC, is that I felt it took too long to get to the rape. In earlier chapters (and in Submission Agenda) I liked to get to the first female nudity by page 9-10, and clearly it doesn't happen here until 12. Plus with the two featured heroines and more complex flashback narrative, I knew this would end up being a double-length chapter, at least.

There just wasn't a lot of incentive for me to finish it in those days, before Patreon... but I suppose there is now.

I similarly have sketches (and some inked pages) from the unseen Finale to Submission Agenda (also would have been a double-length chapter, I think). You'll see those eventually, if you're interested! But I think some Submission Agenda Minis might be in the cards before that. ;)
