Hey, how's it going? As we stumble into the last month of the year, you may have noticed that you can now watch, and not only listen, to Bungacast. We're releasing video of the podcasts, should you perverts prefer that. It's part of a whole bunch of changes we're going to be rolling out over the next months, so watch this space.

As ever, thanks for being with us.

Here's what we have coming up in December:

  • We sit and gawp as a great man rides through town. You'll have our take on the Napoleon film.
  • What does it mean to live in times of catastrophe? How do we respond to slow-moving dystopia?
  • Alex brutally quizzes George and Phil on their book, Taking Control, and asks what's so good about Brexit anyway
  • We continue our reading of Giovanni Arrighi's hefty tome, Adam Smith in Beijing and ask whether China will inaugurate an era of non-capitalist market economy.

Bunga Elsewhere:

  • Why did Ukraine realists lose it over Gaza?, Phil asked in Compact Magazine
  • Phil also debated immigration and sovereignty with Eric Kauffman at Pnyx and Brexit at UK in a Changing Europe
  • Alex responded to Javier Milei's victory in Argentina by suggesting he'll be far more conventional than expected (UnHerd). He also ranted about Milei on Sublation, where the other issue was Osama bin Laden on TikTok.
  • The end of American democracy? Alex debated the issue alongside Benjamin Studebaker, Geoff Schullenberger and Chris Cutrone at Sublation.

On the pod in November:

  • Vincent Bevins discussed a decade of mass protest and the failure of horizontalism.
  • What ever happened to adopting principled neutrality? Lily Lynch was back on to discuss goings-on in Northern and Eastern Europe.
  • Shahar Hameiri and Tom Chodor came back to tell us about Australia's aboriginal 'Voice' referendum, and the consequences of Covid lockdowns
  • We debated hyperliberalism and what comes after, by looking at John Gray's new book "The New Leviathans"
  • The war in Gaza and much else was debated on the long-overdue Aufhebonus Bonus
