Did a bit of writing for fun, which featured this character. Here, you may read it if you'd like:

A low heavy fog rolled through the overgrown remains of a stone structure. The life of the forest echoed all around. The sound of crickets, frogs and birds blending into a loud and almost rhythmic melody. Aindred tuned out the commotion of the forest outside. Instead, she was fixated on something else...

Over the past several hours, she had scoured the ruins for a collection of small trinkets. Unlike the surrounding ruins, these objects were pristine. Moss had no hold. Mud melted away. And their metal seemed to shine even in the gloom of this boggy paradise.

Excitedly, Aindred examined her haul piece by piece. She held a necklace that made her feel attractive… she pried at a box that seemed to have no keyhole… she tinkered with a strange tool that resembled a cross between an hourglass and a magnifying glass. Aindred was fascinated with the old world. Particularly, their use of magic through tools, instead of rituals. Brushing her dog tail aside, she lifted a hallowed horn to inspect more closely… Unlike most of the items she’d found, this one was made from organic material. She noted it’s curious texture, before lifting it to mouth…

“Bbbbbbbbrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!...”

The sound disappeared into the surrounding forest, followed by silent anticipation… Nothing. And yet, there was something eerie in the silence. Like disturbing the stillness of the forest touched something horrible. Suddenly taken by irrational fear, Aindred sat there in the dark, waiting for a response from an unseen force…

… But none came. Aindred quietly gathered her things to return home. She had had enough adventure for one day.
