Holy Blood 2 - 1 (Patreon)

Hey Guys! I know its a few days early but I don't have a Revenge chapter to upload. Sorry about that. Anyway, starting book 2 of holy blood!
Chapter 1
The first Raid level boss has been defeated on the Terran server. Enjoy the rewards that come from your efforts!
The first Rare Pet has been claimed.
A Major event has happened! This might affect the weave of the world.
Hell has been slighted. It will collect its due in time.
That can’t be a good sign, but there was little I could do about it right now. Cheers of celebration sounded out from the dark elves that were able to move. This was a great moment that had been a achieved by their efforts. The loss of their Elder made this possible, after all. I glanced up to the fading blood moon. The eye having already closed. I would need to thank the Goddess once we get a temple built for her.
“Lulu. You alright?” I asked walking over to her.
“Yeah. That was a bit more than I expected. Can we possibly hold off on the terrifying monsters for a few days?” she asked with a hand over her heart.
“Says the necromancer…” I mumbled.
“What was that?!” she said with a glare.
“Nothing. ~” I gave a small laugh. Probably best not to piss off the person that currently had the strongest pet on the server.
I glanced around at the wounded and made my way to the more critical of the dark elves. I didn’t want more death after our victory. I really needed to get a large-scale healing spell for future battles like this. I needed to resummon Mohr and Kona but they’d earned a rest in my opinion.
I was on my tenth or eleventh person when I noticed someone coming up to me. I finished up the healing then turned towards the dark elf woman. She had tears forming a trail down her cheeks. She started bowing repeatedly with a bundle in her arms.
“Thank you! Thank you! Its all thanks to you that my child will live! What could I ever do to repay you!?”
“There, there. We did what was right,” I said grabbing her shoulder. “Just make sure you raise them to be strong in this trying world.”
“I will! I will! I know! Please name her. I feel if she was named by her savior then it will bring her fortune,” the woman said grabbing my hand in hers and looked at me expectantly. She pulled the cloth back exposing the child’s face. I wasn’t sure I’d ever seen a baby outside of television since my little sister was born. My chest tightened at the thought of her, such an unfair loss of life.
“Ehh…” I thought it over for a minute. I wanted to respond to the woman’s request. I decided I would honor the memory of my sister and give the child her name. “Rayla.” I was forced back a step when a light show took place similar to when I helped Lucy class change back at the church.
You have named an Inhabitant after saving their very existence. There is no way to know the effect this will have in the future. +2000 Astral Energy
When the light ended, I took in the child. She had her eyes open and was staring directly at me. It only lasted for a few seconds before she started crying and her mother made to comfort her. Turned out she was hungry. She bowed a couple dozen more times as she made her way back to her tent. It had only been a few hours since she gave birth. I was already impressed she was up and about.
“I’ll be performing a funeral for the ones that passed. Do you think you could help me when you’re done healing everyone?” Lulu asked after the woman walked away.
“Sure. I don’t mind helping.”
“Thanks!” She turned and ran off towards the cemetery from earlier. I still found it hard to wrap my head around the fact that necromancers in this world were technically good guys.
I looked around and couldn’t help smiling at the sight of the dark elves in such good spirits. They celebrated their continued life, the new life, and the future. I felt this wouldn’t be a bad place to stay for a while. I chuckled at the irony of that. Dark elves were usually the evil ones in games as well.
~~~
A few hours later I was sitting in the Elders’ hut. They were preparing something so I went ahead and took a look at my status to pass the time. I never got much of a chance after the Demon was killed. Not to mention the actual loot of the beast.
As expected, there were no new skills. I made a sad chuckle when I saw the curse gracing my page. I was impressed with how my Astral energy was growing. At this rate, I might cross ten thousand soon. I was finding that working with the people of this world was bringing more rewards then fighting against them.
“Sir Priest.” The two remaining elders said as they walked into the room.
“Are you two… alright?” I asked. They’d lost someone that they’d know for centuries, after all. I didn’t know if it was worse then having your family taken from you in one go, but I felt I could understand some of what they were going through.
“We… will survive. But we will have time to mourn those that have left us later. Elder Gasale gave his life to protect the Valley… Our home. We want to do our best to make sure that it grows.”
“I meant to tell you, but Otris is willing to become your deity. We need to erect a temple to her.”
The Elders leaned forward intently after that. “You have answered our prayers. Thank you, Sir priest.” They looked to each other and nodded. “We have decided. Please hold out your hands.”
I tilted my head then did as instructed. A small part of me hoped it was another boon like the naming. In this blood-crazed world, you could never have enough power. The two women placed their hands over mine.
“By the ancient pacts. We offer our pledge of loyalty to the one named Abaddon. He shall be the new leader of the Alivonda. He shall have the power to decide our fate. Through the fires of hell or the light of heaven, we shall follow.” My body locked in place as the words became a different language. My eyes were already wide from the first part. Yes, I had intended to help these people, but I didn’t plan on becoming their leader.
The pair stopped chanting and the force holding me in place vanished. A searing pain burned around my wrist. I grimaced and looked to see a tattoo wrapping around it. Looking closely, I saw what looked like a wolf’s tooth with a pair of sabers framing it. I rubbed but it was already numb.
“It is done,” Cholonsa and Nusoknu said with an unearthly voice.
“Its an honor?” I said. I still wasn’t sure what to make of this situation.
Congratulations! You have been made the leader of a wandering tribe of Dark Elves. You are the first person on the Terra server to be given a leadership position of a foreign force. +1000 (Village level) Health Points
Congratulations! You have started the Tribe of Alivonda on the path of redemption! What this means for the future of the Guilin is unknown. Rewards ??? (Determined at the time of redemption)
Quest: Build a temple!
The Blood Mother, Goddess Otris, is willing to take the Dark Elves as part of her flock. Build a temple to honor her. Rewards ??? (Determined upon Temple’s completion.)
I was busy reading the notifications that I failed to see the two elders’ expression sinking as I didn’t react. I quickly closed the panels and looked at them with a smile. What’s done was done. I would just have to work to get the most out of it.
“Thank you for the great honor you’ve bestowed on me. I will work to make sure the Dark Elves rise again to power and that you will hopefully know the meaning of safety again.”
The two elders bowed their heads to the ground. Thank you, Igetas.”
I wasn’t sure how, but I knew without ever hearing the word before that it meant leader. I supposed with my head connected to this world via a cable, it wasn’t surprising that they could upload knowledge directly to my brain. I smiled and reached forward to pull them from their full-body bow.
“You two are still the Elders. The others will want to see you confident and I have no desire to deprive you of your respect. Please, unless it is absolutely necessary, do not bow to me.” They looked worried but after a glance at each other nodded. “Now, I believe we have a funeral that we need to attend.”
“Yes, Igetas.”
