You can breath easy-Uncle Santa isn’t here this week. JPC presents us with a hypothetical about eggs and Erin has a meltdown in a CVS. Stick around for a ghost bird and a bunch of playing cards in a club. We also have visit by the great Sandy Weisz! We are so lucky!

I'm sorry that happened to Erin. If anyone is ever in that situation, here are some options for you: 1. The pharmacy could put your generic prescriptions on a discount card like GoodRX (it rarely works as well for brand name). Without trying to sound like a shill, GoodRx does tend to give a much bigger discount than other pharmacy savings cards companies. Their website also lets you look up prices by drug names and allows you to specify strength and quantity so you can see how much each pharmacy would charge you. They have an app, but you won't use it unless you're constantly picking up a bunch of different drugs. 2. If it's a brand name drug, there is likely a manufacturer coupon available on the drug's website (it's usually the first few results when you Google the drug name). You may have to sign up for that on your own since it might require your financial information. It's not a guaranteed thing as you may not qualify, but it's worth looking into. They also may have a patient assistance program available, but they're a pain to sign up for and if you don't qualify for the coupon, you won't qualify for the program. 3. If it's not a CII, they could give you a partial fill. For example, they could give you a 3 day supply and then put the remaining amount on your insurance once those 48 hours were over. You can still do that with a CII, but you "lose" the prescription and will have to ask your doctor to send the pharmacy a new one.

I didn't expect Sandy to be on again so soon. I always love his puzzles. I wish that Sandy could have met Uncle Santa lol

"You can fuck me on eggs, you can't fuck me on medicine" is what we should chant at protests for universal healthcare! Thanks for making me laugh through the pain lmao

This is helpful advice. My old psych gave me GoodRX discount cards along with my prescriptions which helped a lot before getting on Medicaid. I've heard some folks ask their docs for samples too if they can't afford their meds.

Did they skip the first riddle or did I just somehow miss them say the answer

Does anyone remember which episode has Maria CVS? I can't find it anymore!

I felt that CVS story deeply! There was always something, always. I was finally able to switch pharmacies. It was a weekly nightmare handling my brother's 3 meds plus my own 2 meds.
