Ok you sweet Ohio babies, you’re up! We play a round of real or fake ride at Cedar point and JPC informs us that happens in Ohio, stays in Ohio. Our very on Ohio baby Casey Toney gives us his recommendations. What’s your skyline recipe? What state should we do next?

You all should do Missouri next since Erin spent a bunch of time there! Missouri: " Sorry about our Senators!"

I know it's already been mentioned but jungle Jim's, grandpa's cheesebarn, all the delicious beer ever. Not mentioned yet that I could see: FORMER TOUCHDOWN JESUS THAT GOT STRUCK BY LIGHTNING AND BURNED DOWN. They put up a new Jesus statue that's not as good. A classic landmark off of 75 between Dayton and Cincinnati. Also I was part of 8th Floor Improv in its very very early days so yay Bellwether!

As someone who grew up in the Cincinnati area the correct Skyline Chili is actually from Gold Star Chili. Lol (I love Gold Star's veggie chili; it's very good.) As far as the chocolate/cinnamon part of it, it's in there, but you don't notice, imo. I've made homemade veggie chili based off the recipe and I only used a pinch of cinnamon... I think you can skip it personally; I can't taste it. I like adding light beans to mine.

I hope you do Georgia soon because I love to hear how you guys react to the fact that it's illegal to keep a donkey in a bathtub.

You should totally do Kansas! My hometown has a week long celebration for Halloween where our town of 9,000 has close to 75,000 visitors in one week! (Neewollah) Kansas also had the gate to hell 😈

I'm way late to this, but you might be interested to know... Skyline is a derivative of Greek flavors. Years ago I was in Boston out on a date at a Greek place and I ordered moussaka. The second it touched my tongue I understood. I do eat meat, but their vegetarian chili is also pretty good. I second others' previous comments: go to Jungle Jim's, don't make your own Cincinnati Chili (also Skyline is a trademark and the best places that serve Cincinnati chili are get ones that aren't chains... Camp Washington Chili is great), touchdown Jesus is a crazy story. Kings Island used to have the world's only looping wooden Rollercoaster but it closed due to multiple incidents... it wasn't even a great ride. Cincinnati has outstanding murals all over, and they all get projection mapped every few years at this event called BLINK, it's a free 4 day festival of light downtown in October. Third iteration is happening thi ls year, highly recommend. The University of Cincinnati campus has a really cool array of architecture, but TBH the architecture Masters program is meh, if anyone is on the fence. Oh... that was more than I meant to type. Well, time to push the little arrow and go about my day. Love the podcast!
