I have had someone claim they own the rights to a part of my video which has lead my video to be demonotized. Although I can't find the person who has claimed it and its not got any music in or anything it's literally me nomming with a water head ball in my hand. I have requested a review but it's the person that claimed it that makes the decision. What is that all about?

Ok, that's bizarre! I really don't see how they could possibly have a legitimate claim, though...hopefully this gets sorted out quickly, Jodie!

Goes to show how easily abused the YouTube copyright claim system can be, which is ridiculous.

JodieAsmr

I know it's unlisted st the moment

Mark

Was it an automatic claim? Hopefully they will realize it's a mistake after manual review.

JodieAsmr

I don't really know might be? I hope so

I just can't believe YouTube doesn't have a better system in place to prevent this crap from screwing over legit creators... Hang in there, Jodie.

If it was that fast after being posted it's pretty likely it was a automatic claim, we can just pray it is resolved promptly.

Do any of the props you use or clothing you wear in the video have any branding or logos on them?

Jeremy

Do you have a lawyer friend that would submit a DMCA counter notice for you in order to protect your personal information?

one word anotherASMR artist who "thinks" they got rights over certain roleplay, words used inexact same line for line. i know, its hard to believe. but it will.

Mike

Record companies have bots that browse youtube videos and automatically make copyright claims and sometimes they make claims by mistake. Youtube should be able to tell you who claimed the copyright and then you can contact them and sort it out.

JodieAsmr

I can't find the channel.
