You can use the patches to upgrade any version beginning with 0.7.0a1 to version 0.7.1a1, just make sure to get the right flavour (hi-res/compressed).
To use a patch, place the .exe file into the game’s root folder and launch it.

Walkthrough:

Story 24 - Rae requests your presence. Rae will come up to you and ask to visit her when she's in her part of the attic. Go and talk to her. It's up to you how much to reveal.

Lyriel 26. Lyriel asks you to visit Taena again. If you deny her, you may get an actual apology for the last time from her. She'll keep pestering you anyway, so go with her. Viorel looks a bit different. And even though Lyriel is totally not scared or anything, you may want to remain with her for the night.

Lyriel 27. After a few days she'll ask you to go again. Hey, new faces! And a cryptic message.

Lyriel 28. You just have to keep trying. And now you actually get to see Taena. Only, uh...
