Pffft… I voted for half of them. So many good options...

It's a multi-choice vote. That kind of vote best represents which option most people like, because if people can only pick the option they like the most then their choice for second or third is not taken into account. If that was the case then a few people with the same taste could win the vote for an option that everyone else hates because the people with more varied taste spread out their votes over different options.
