Hey everyone!

We wanted to capture the feeling of a bleak, weird, frigid, alien planet with this one. We wanted it to feel like the world was sloping in on itself in unnatural ways. The main alien structure in the map is a portal that expands and opens in 5 parts. But you can also use it for anything you like: an ancient computer, a weird magical artefact, an object of spiritual importance, an astronomical clock, and so on.

This is a really big map and we made a lot of variations. Most follow the theme or weird worlds but there's a lot of snowy ones too, hopefully a bunch of these you can use for planar and hellish encounters.

We made this map as a tie-in for our Hyperdrive Fleet project. If you haven't seen it yet, please go check it out! It's a sister project to Czepeku Maps where we make sci-fi (rather than fantasy) maps!

We launched it 6 months ago and have been focusing on spaceships and space stations so far but in 2023 we'll be expanding to all sorts of planet-side sci-fi maps, trains, drones, mechs, and more! If you run a campaign like that, please take a look at Hyperdrive Fleet. :)

Next month for Czepeku we'll be back with the Nightmare Dragon Lair, Alchemical Dungeon, Underdark Caves, and Nymph Fountain!

I just love that there is a End of Everything map that is basically just a black rectangle :D

That DAM Patron

Amazing map, could have definitely used a single crab

Charles

Anyone else find it quite hard to navigate what is going on in this map? Specifically with elevation and where the floor starts and ends?

Xotyc

This is great! Are the gates themselves available as assets to place into the other variations of the map so we can do phased battles on the variations too?

czepeku

Hey Charles, sorry to hear that. It's very difficult to do sloping hills from top down, especially as we wanted the world to feel a bit weird and undulating. Sorry it's difficult to navigate.

I second @Zotyc's ask - having the phased gates as standalone assets for placements, either in other maps, or in smaller versions leading to this map, would be awesome.

Brad Koch

Am I the only one bothered by the lack of phase 4?

Ren

Wish the ring was in the other terrain too, the lava one would be perfect for my home game with that.

David Geary

How frequent are the releases generally on Hyperdive Fleet-you know, on average, or the mean?

Tiago Frossard

This is a fantastic generic ambiance for planar adventures: Mineral, Earth, Ice, Lava, Shadow, Ether, Steam... everything serviced with good recolors. Congratulations.

czepeku

We aim for 5 per month. Generally it's been 4 or 5. It'll never be more than 5. It's all sci-fi content though, so only sign up if you're playing a space faring type game. :)

gosh those are some awesome maps for my Starfinder game. My Roll20 group is now every 2 weeks, one night is 5e and one night is Starfinder(ish)

Brad Koch

You guys are the best. You didn't know this is literally what I needed for my DnD campaign. I am so excited for my party to get there!
