Back when our parents were children a lighthouse stood here. A red and white tower guiding merchant ships into town and bringing with them pickled plums and salted figs. The sailors would sing shanties of sea monsters and barnacled beasts with eyes the size of melons. And in turn the weaverfolk would line the docks and swoon to their songs of the sea. In the Summer of the Red Sun the light house collapsed, dragging its loyal wickburner down to davy jones. Seldom now do ships ply this coast, forgotten to all but the most desperate and the most loyal of ships. The weaverfolk still line the docks but there are no songs to hear, no tales to swoon to and no ships to buy their wares. Now only a harsh sea batters the bare cliffs of this forgotten coast. The harpies gather and pick out the dead and dying from the shipwrecks. The bones they feed to their chicks. Many brave builders have sought to erect a new lighthouse and return their town to its former splender but alas the harpies bite and claw. So now all they can do is await adventurers to rid them of these beasts.

Hey everyone! Just like the Medusa Lair we brought out recently, this map is an idea we had waaaay back when we made our first map. We decided it was time to finally create it!

We hope you enjoy all the variations, there's 30 in total!

This is our final map for the month but we'll be back in March with the Arcane Clocktower, a Mountaintop Observatory and more!

Edit: I forgot to say we're doing a giveaway on Twitter of the new Candlekeep Mysteries book! You can enter that here!

You've outdone yourselves, I don't know what I'll do with all these options!

*Love* all the variations! Amazing work as always.

These are amazing, some of those variants may be very helpful. At this point the catalog is becoming so large it's difficult to find the correct map at the right time, and it's overloading Patreon's page loading, any chance for like, a big page of thumbnails to refer to?

just became a patron and oh my god you work is amazing so worth while

Kit Ortega

Thanks for more spelljammer and ocean content! Gorgeous as always. Definitely adding a lighthouse for my players to restore bc of this.

Good lord those look amazing! And the variety? *Chefs kiss*

There's both the Map Room to check and the Map Ledger spreadsheet, which should help with navigating the maps. We've thought about adding thumbnails to the Map Room but i worry that'll just make that page long and tedious to load too.

I'm new around here... I was looking for a board to print in neoprene to play with my kids, and I liked what I see. I've just ordered the printed board (90x40cm for just 11€) and will be using it for irregular miniature gaming (biggest one is only 5 years old) and to deploy games on top. New one is gorgeous and incredibly versatile, with the sand and ice plains versions too. Great job!

VitAnyaNaked

Awesome work, I love this idea. However, the bay has a sad story, all the same harpies must be exterminated.

Is this inspired by the harpy cove in BG3?

czepeku

Not at all. :) I guess just inspired by real cliffs and coves. Haven't played any of BG3 yet.
