The Mechanical Palace!

Two maps in two days! :D

This map was a collaboration with our good friend Zhillustrator who you may remember from the Lair of the Beholder God! If you haven't seen Živko's work before you need to head over to these places and follow and subscribe to his awesome work:

This map was largely inspired by Primus and Mechanus so for those of you wanting to explore the Outer Planes or fight some Modrons, this is the map for you!

We made 16 variations in total, you can check those at the bottom of the post. Some of them are a bit silly but I hope the others bring a lot of variation to this map and to your table. Enjoy!

Well I know what maps I'm using for a big battle for my sci-fi 5e campaign this fall! Holy heck!!

Kieroman

That is amazing!

Holy SHIT it's Primus! If you haven't read/played the Planescape adventures The Great Modron March and Dead Gods, please do this! Especially Dead Gods. Some of the best D&D (or any RPG) ever created. My party just recently had an audience with Primus, and this map is almost exactly how I described his inner sanctum to them, based largely on the image from page 13 of Modron March. I'm looking at my original hard copy now and I'm just floored by how well you've captured this.

PRIDEMUS!!!!!!!

Oh my god, this is perfect timing - my players are just about to explore a Clockwork Island which is a controlled by an ancient hivemind set of constructs

Ogo Sylla

OMG!!! My Eberron campaign BBEG is Primus and this is gonna be PERFECT final boss encounter! Thank you for this!!

John Bitsura

The Traveler is one of the major figures and occasional villains for my Eberron campaign, and much like Ogo is using this for Primus, I'm going to be using the "many faces" theme for him. Thank you so much, my jaw DROPPED when I saw this.

John Bitsura

THERE ARE THIRTEEN FACES. YOU'RE SO DAMN BRILLIANT CZEPEKU OH MY GODSSSSSSS

Aubrey

Can't wait to use this for my Court Room in my story. The judge is going to be Primus.

Thank you for sharing this! Now I have to check it out and hope it's not too much hassle to convert for my 5E players :D

Exactly my thoughts! Same circumstances too - Eberron adventure and BBEG hehe

Xotyc

The stories are easy to convert. You'd be safer replacing all monsters with 5e stat blocks though. 2E was very different from 5e in my experience.

This works pretty well for a Power Rangers-styled place where the players get their morphing power.
