Hey everyone, thanks for all the great responses on the Discord poll, we're really pleased you're all so keen on joining us there. We'll be setting that up over the next few weeks along with some other changes.

For those who didn't see it, the Ancient Wizard Lair won this week's map poll. That'll be released on Sunday.

I've got the next community-wide question, for anyone who'd like to chime in with an answer. We're curious what everyone is interested in when signing up to our patreon!

We've left it open for multiple responses but try not to tick all of them! :D The more specific the better. We're asking because we'd prefer to spend our time delivering what's most desired by the community. This'll help us brainstorm ideas for the future.

I’m loving these maps and have found them invaluable but as someone who also runs modern superhero games and future sci-fi it would be great if every now and then you would throw in a modern city street battle map or a sci-fi space ship map or something. Even if you have no plans to I still love all these maps you’ve put out and will continue to support this Patreon as long as my financial situation permits lol

Hi Jamie, thanks for the feedback and your ever vigilant support, it is greatly appreciated. Modern or sci-fi would certainly be a big change for us but if it gets suggested and voted for we'd definitely give it a shot! Right now we're trying to be hands off when it comes to choosing maps and just seeing what the Master Cartographer tier supporters suggest to us and what gets voted in. :)

Your maps are lovely, and really help for roll20 games.

I'm more of a player than a GM, so I mostly use the maps for references and idea-gathering. I really enjoy seeing what you guys make, no matter what it is.

I REALLY liked the wizard tower with the modular rooms - i'd love to see another version of that with bigger rooms, or any other kinds of modular maps! Like maybe a series of city streets that are modular and can be joined together to make unique street layouts, or maybe they can be printed and flipped over like a deck of large cards and drawn randomly during a chase sequence to present interesting turns and obstacles!

I think the immense number of variations on each map you do is incredibly valuable. It gives me the possibility of having really detailed recurring locations in my campaigns, and recurring locations tend to be the most important. I'm so excited for the second time my players visit any one of these locations, when I use one of the variations, for them to say "WHOA, look how much it's changed!"

A person I game with mentioned your maps. I was really impressed. I'd definitely be interested in maps for setting other than fantasy, specifically modern horror and SciFi.

Suggestions for "other types of maps": * small accessories to customize our maps (trees, furniture, gates, creatures etc) * some sort of dynamics: a changing map that suddenly reveals hidden passage ways, or one that changes due to erosion or spells * maps that contain puzzles (maybe hidden letters or clues for a hidden location)

BananaDealer

All of the above. Plus, I got tired of using maps and things "for free" when building my campaigns.

For me the value resides in the quality and the graphic style of your maps. Plus de varariations that make so easy to add a map whatever the setting is. I would love to see some variations of dark/deadland, or shadowland.

My next question was going to see if there were any players here or if everyone is a DM. Glad to know players find use in our maps too.

Hey Aaron, we've had a few requests for modular maps, we'll definitely consider doing it again in future depending on the theme. The maps on cards idea is really cool and something I'll give a lot of thought to. If we were to ever get into printed products, I think that'd be a great idea.

Hey Eckart, not sure if you've see it but we made a basic prop pack here: https://www.patreon.com/posts/free-tokens-24923966 We hope to do that again in future for different themes, when we have time between maps. Not sure how to implement a dynamic map but it's something I'll look into. We often try to do a similar thing through our variations but I can see how something more immediate would be fun too. I'll do my best to add more puzzle elements in via the campaign notes. Point out secrets and easter eggs included in our maps.

Thanks a lot Ivo. :) Free things are great but we're stoked that you decided to support us instead. It really helps.

Hey Maxime, what sort of thing do you have in mind for a deadland/shadowland? I never really done a campaign in that sort of setting. Would love to hear the ideas you have for it. If you have image references you can send them in a private message.

Glad to know you use the maps as recurring locations Anthony. That's always something we keep in mind. Especially with the Guildhall, we really wanted to create a place players could return to over and over and still be surprised by. Let us know how your players react!

Hey Don, thanks for the feedback. I'm glad word of mouth is working. Right now we're trying to be impartial when it comes to map suggestions. If we get a request from one of our Master Cartographers we'll add it to the poll for sure.

2023-03-27 05:29:41 Curse of Stradh (Ravenloft) is one of them. The idea is to have some variations of a desolated land or just a dead land. Keywords are : dark, seedy, dreary -> dead trees, ravens, hovels, little light (like the sun never rise), few inhabitants, small villages, deserted cities, cursed forgotten civilization, etc... More spooky than mysterious EDIT: the world of Solomone Kane from Robert E. Howard is a good reference. For video games: Diablo, chapter 1
