For those who seem to only draw crappy drawings... (Patreon)

Okay, so I understand that this sucks...  

You don't feel like you can succeed, and everything you draw is crap.  

But don't worry about success or failure.  Recognition comes after you have succeeded, and the ones who succeed are the ones who can make it through the long period of being unrecognized.  

Even with my YouTube channel, it wasn't popular at first, but it doesn't matter.  Keep working until you become good.  

There shouldn't be a reason to not work, because even if you just draw crap all day, then drawing crap all day will build your mileage and make it so you will draw less crappy.  

Then you just draw less crappy all the time, but still crappy, but it's better.  Keep doing that for a long time and then you will become even less crappy.  Then draw a lot still, and you will become, just okay.  

Then draw a lot of just okay drawings a lot, and you'll start to be able to draw hey not bad drawings.  

This is an important level because if you keep at it, you will get to the pretty good drawings stage.  Here's where people might start noticing you.  Probably not a lot of people, but enough to actually give you a bit of encouragement to keep drawing until you get to the oh wow, you're good stage, followed by the whoa, you're awesome!! stage.  

And the beauty of it is, even when you're finally at that stage, you will likely still feel you are just drawing crap or maybe less crappy drawings, but people will like them somehow, and even pay you for them, and then you can be as confused as I am, or maybe you will have more self esteem and then you can enjoy the fruits of your hard won labour.  

But anyway, hopefully the act of drawing is fun to you, and in that case, focus on the fact that it's fun and you don't even need to worry about all those stages.  You will fly past them without even noticing.
