Hey everyone, here's a bonus Pointy Chins video for you fine folks.  I'll be releasing it to the public at the end of the month, but I wanted to give patrons a chance to see it a couple of weeks early.

Regarding the comment about multiple personalities perhaps being just an exaggerated form of what thinking does anyway, I think there's definitely a lot of merit in looking at different approaches to drawing in this way. There's a vast area of 'potential' in art, way too much for a single artist to be able to do everything, but there is still much to be gained from exploring different approaches to art 'up to a certain point' and bringing back what you have learned. With the 'intuitive' approach in particular, I think it's very interesting how appealing it can look even when the anatomy and proportions are not sensible at all - and this seems like the kind of 'space' that you just would not ever 'find' if you stuck to a analytical approach all the time. One thing I think is rather important in this is establishing a dialogue between those different methods so that they can be integrated with each other.

Yeah, I think you're right on the money! I've been working on that dialogue and really trying to figure out where things can overlap. I'm finding one of the biggest problems I have is not a "lack of confidence" or "being scattered" (although those are symptoms of the problem), but rather a lack of feedback from myself so that I don't know what is right based on feelings. For instance, I don't experience positive emotions, so it's really hard to know when I'm doing something I want to be doing. I do feel negative emotions, so to a degree I can deduce that the absence of a negative must be a positive, but this isn't very accurate, because then you get a neutral and a positive confused and you lack an understanding of degree. But by constantly doing things that I may have impulses to do, without judgement, I get more pieces of the puzzle to work with, and eventually, with enough information, it becomes more obvious what the degrees are. In the next episode I make a significant step toward consolidating the approaches, and in the episodes that follow, that trend continues. I'm hoping it's not too long before I have one major style, with some flexibility in how much I can push it in different directions. Thanks for your comment and insight, Lod!

I really like the inclusion of the time lapses. Since you're working in procreate and it records everything anyways would you consider uploading those separately for those interested?

Sycra

I'm glad you like the timelapses. I can try to upload some of the videos separately, although because of some issues, it's not as easy as it may seem (some videos fail to render for some reason, and I need to import them in itunes, then upload, download, convert and reupload often, so it takes quite a while, but if there are specific images you would like to see a video for, I can probably try to upload those individually).
