Feel much better than last week.

I guess I'm just frustrated because most of the time I've been working has been on a few scenes that most people won't really want to see, scenes that are probably at least another month away from being done, at least to the standard I want.

I need to get out of the perfectionist mindset. I tend to spend far too much time on big ideas that take a long time to get done, only to have to cut them down at the last minute.

I'll be focusing on a few key areas this update:

  • A natural WG sequence for Emily
  • Chloe introduced as an interactive character
  • A cooking class with Chloe
  • A casual scene or two chatting with Chloe
  • A first date with Chloe
  • A natural WG sequence for Chloe
  • A magical WG scenario for Chloe

The "natural" scenes will be progressive weight gain, rather than instant, which is something I know a lot of you have been wanting. After this update I'll reorganise how I do things a little bit, getting a couple of scenes ready to go ASAP, so I can update more frequently with something, instead of spending a lot of time working on just a couple of major scenes here and there.

There are a couple of other things I'm hoping to add if there's time, like a second date for Emily, but I'd rather get something done soon-ish rather than spending ages failing to write a scene, and feeling like I've wasted a day. I have a list of planned things for each update, and each update I have to abandon most of it. I think that's a sign I need to be more realistic with my time.

It was interesting coming up with something for her. I'm not a fan of the "Girl tries the feedee lifestyle and magically loves" trope, so don't expect to see that too much here. Instead, I'd rather each character have WG scenarios that match them, rather than a cookie cutter one that I reuse. That sort of thing is better suited for more magical scenarios.

Here is a sketch of Emily at the end of her WG sequence:

I hope you're all having a nice week.
