Development Update (Patreon)

Hey guys,

So, as I said in my last development update, I moved house a few weeks ago. After a very busy period, I am now properly set up in my new office and work is back in full swing. We're still waiting on various bits of furniture to be delivered but I couldn't be happier with the improvement in living conditions for me, Herdone and our two cats. I’m still having some legal trouble with our old flat, however, that's a financial rather than emotional problem now and I am free to focus on what’s really important; creating high-quality interactive erotica.

Those of you on the teacher tier would have seen the recent poll sent out from Mr Mykock. Given that the poll was in character I was unable to comment on it at the time. For the benefit of those that didn't take part, Mr Mykock sent a message to the school’s owners who he addressed as “Patrons of the Educational Reform Venture” (or PERVs). He said that Ada was attempting to circumvent the school’s firewall to reach her social media followers and that he had set up a fake website for her to post to. He then invited the school’s owners to respond to Ada’s post, which he described as a rare opportunity to interact directly with one of the students. We then read the post from Ada where she asks her Facegram followers what she should do for her next photo story. Although a number of choices were presented the overwhelming majority of patrons voted to encourage Ada to take candid photographs of the twins without their knowledge.

After the poll was over, Ada then posted her photo story of the twins where we saw them playing volleyball on the beach, playing a prank on some other girls, and hanging around in their swimsuits in the girl's locker room. Although the photos Ada included on her social media post didn’t have any nudity, Mr Mykock added a link to the full set of images. These included pictures of the twins receiving bare bottom spankings from Claire and Sally, plus the twins and several other girls changing out of their swimsuits and getting in the showers. It seemed that by encouraging Ada to take photos of the twins in secret we had unlocked some latent voyeuristic tendencies. Mr Mykock commented that this would now be an issue for the headmaster to deal with however he saw fit.

For clarity, I want to emphasize that what happened in the poll is cannon and the photos Ada took of the twins will appear in the game. We all know the school’s owners are watching through the camera in the headmaster’s office, and I always intended them to be an allegory for my patrons. This poll was intended as a way to introduce that concept. Also, it’s no secret that I have a very long list of content promises that I am behind on fulfilling and I’m still catching up on things promised in polls from several months ago. This poll was therefore designed in a way that allowed the participants to have a meaningful impact on a character's future storyline, allowed for an immediate reward for the player (with Ada’s photo set), and didn't add weeks' worth of work to my already packed to-do list. It was a bit of an experiment that I believe was a success so I hope to do more of these in-character polls, addressed to the school’s owners, in the future. Possibly involving Ada but probably for other characters too.

Having some time away from the computer over the recent move also led me to rethink my strategy for the upcoming update. My plans for Rachel were quite simple, with several repeatable scenes in your office with a progression from using a small dildo, to a medium one and then to having sex. However, after starting to put everything together I have decided that I am unhappy with this plan for a number of reasons. Firstly, it creates a separate mini-game when there is already a punishment system for these kinds of interactions. Secondly, everything happens much too quickly and without a sufficient feeling of achievement for the player. Thirdly, I want to add more group and lesbian action for Rachel. Specifically with Debbie and Sally, in the headmaster's office, the dorms and possibly in the men's showers. Basically, I need to make the update a lot bigger in order to give the satisfying climax to Rachel’s storyline that she deserves.

Now, if we are advancing Rachel’s storyline through the punishment system (as we should) this presents a significant problem for me. At the time I made Rachel's animations (a couple of years ago at this point) I made a set of her being punished naked and kept them in reserve for when the time was right. Now would be that time, however, looking back at the animations, none of them are up to my current standards. Rachel was the second girl I made the punishment system for and therefore her animations are the second-worst. The original naked animations I made also didn't have Rachel wearing her ears or tail. So that's another good reason why I need to go back and make new ones. Sally and the headmaster could probably do with less clothing as well. Redoing Rachel’s punishment animations would be a big undertaking, but I believe it to be necessary.

Along with Rachel, there was one other major part to the update which I haven’t discussed recently and that is the after school staff training lessons with Debbie, Amy and Miss Potts, representing a continuation of the storylines for all three of these major characters. I’ve been avoiding talking about it because it's quite a big storyline and I couldn’t be certain I’d have time to include much of it in the next update. However, similar to what we saw with Harriet and Priti in version 0.12, Rachel and Debbie’s storylines are interwoven and I can’t get to the end of one, without significantly advancing the other. Therefore, I have no choice but to include the after school BDSM lessons in the next update. This means I need to create scenes where we teach Claire and Debbie your advanced discipline techniques, as well as scenes where we see Claire and Debbie putting their training into practice. Again, this will be a lot of work, much more than I initially thought. In addition to this, there will likely be other little pieces of content in version 0.13 apart from Rachel and the BDSM lesson. However, I am going to keep the details closer to my chest until I am certain it's making it to the update.

So in summary, since my last post, I’ve decided to significantly expand the scope of version 0.13 to give most of the chapter one girls (Rachel, Debbie and Amy) extra content for their storylines and punishment systems. I need to do this at some stage and the more I think about it, the more it makes sense to do it now while I have this opportunity. It’s going to mean making everyone wait longer for the update, however, I think it will be worth it in the long run. We’re getting into some really juicy parts of the story which everyone has been waiting patiently for and I shouldn’t rush through any of it.

I’ve already put together the first batch of image previews (which I will post today), which shows some of the interactions with Rachel (and Debbie), as well as how the BDSM classes (and their associated homework) are going to look. I had said that I had everything written for version 0.13, however, as I am expanding the scope that means I need to take my animator's hat off for the moment and put my writer's hat back on. I’m probably twenty to thirty thousand words short of what I need, which will take at least a few weeks of focused writing. Once I’ve got all the new scenes written I’ll post another dev update to layout my expanded plans in a bit more detail as well as hazarding a guess at the new release timeframe.
