The whole Sol worshipper always makes me think of George Carlin's bit about being a sun worshipper. If you've never heard it it's funny. See, I started to turn away from religion at about 9 years old because we had moved to the south and kids told me my dad was in hell because he committed suicide, but I was still somewhat religious so I did research and read more and more about early Christianity and the like. So when I was about 12 I just basically made a deal with my mom I'll go to church for like Christmas eve and Easter services and at family members houses I'll at least be respectful and bow my head during prayer and I didn't have to go to church every Sunday. She accepted it and we had a tradition where our family would go see a movie on Christmas eve and then go to church.
