To be fair Titanic was still a big deal when the episode came out. The second episode was heavily based on Animal House. The whole Single Female Lawyer was as reference to Ally McBeal. The one thing that sucks is you stopped short of one of my favorite episodes lol. Yeah, Futurama's writing changes over time and becomes more than witty parodies of things. It finds it's footing in season 2 and season 3 is great, but then it was cancelled. Actually Futurama is a show that's been cancelled twice, but been on the edge of cancellation several times. It like Family Guy found new life as reruns on Adult Swim and got brought back.
