Let's just say after the style of the villain's in the last arc Gentle is more of a mischievous villain than an evil villain. You notice he stopped the heroes without using his knife and then left the stolen money at the store. After all the heaviness of the last arc, I dont mind having a lighthearted mischief maker for a bit, and I don't know I always like the gentleman villain trope, one who is honorable deep down.

Personally, I find Gentle to be a better villain than Overhaul, just because the end of the last arc left me kind of dry. Like, everything with Eri and Togata was *chef's kiss*, but when I read the manga, Overhaul's finale specifically felt very "let's just JOG to the finish line" to me. I may have been a little worn out considering I think that Togata fighting while quirkless is a top 3 coolest scene in the whole series; so by comparison, Overhaul being defeated in a very typical "I'll punch you really hard!" way was... meh. Which is funny considering how kickass the anime made that scene! Gentle and Brava felt like a return to form after all that, like a familiar blanket. The other reasons are obviously spoiler-y, so I'll just say Gentle and La Brava are great. I love you, Gentle.
