Cass’ perception is a bit warped, but combined with feelings she’s been having all of last season, they make sense. She knows Rapunzel’s story. She knows Gothel didn’t really love her, she just wanted the immortality. Though I suppose she could blame the King for taking the flower her mother needed to live. Whatever the case, after a season of feeling marginalized by Raps, it’s understandable why she was receptive to the idea that Raps stole Gothel from her.

I’m fine with redemptions, I expect them in kids cartoons. Still crossing my fingers they can redeem Catra smoothly. But Varian’s turn here felt too easy. He let his rage overtake his senses, and tried to kill several people to get his way. I suppose he cooled down in prison, off screen. But the “I need to make everyone to forget so they’ll forgive me” is a far cry from who we saw him as last time.
