Zamber dear, The reward was the trip. It was supposed to only be for the top students instead, E Class gets the trip all to themselves. So it's a very big win.

Basically what Dark said, it is reserved for one class, and with them so close they both qualified, but between the 2 the principal would obviously pick A Class, so they basically used their one demand to make A Class drop out of the trip, leaving them as the only viable class.
