Some of the mutation quirks are pretty strong, but others aren't. One character you've seen had their quirk revealed in the manga and it's definitely on the weaker side. Really it depends on the animal. Orcas are apex predators, it's not unheard of for great whites to flee if they detect orcas in the vicinity. Plus one thing to keep in mind from this episode. Froppy's new ability manifesting, that's something that can happen with others, and does later. Won't spoil anyone it happens with as it probably won't occur till a good bit into season 4 or maybe even 5. Don't worry still a bit left of season 3 including introducing a few new characters, I think they are in the intro, or at least one of them.
