The Kit (WIP) (Patreon)

Maple's Story Part 10 is scheduled for publication within the next 24 hours, but whilst that's going on here's a WIP I did in a stream today of Maple's ship, The Kit. Subject to change of course, I wanted to start with an idea of where I wanted the rooms to be, and then build the ship around it.

The Kit is a two story planet-hopper, capable of in-atmosphere landings and transportation but at home in the cool expanse of space. On her top floor she has a relatively large canopy style cockpit, which leads into a thin corridor that connects to her quarters, guest bunks, galley and washing facilities.

The lower floor houses the engine, grav gen, cargo bay and life support, accessible by two ladders at either end of the ship.

The Kit's landing ramp extends from her middle back and meets the upper floor, with separate hatches available for cargo bay access on the front, back and bottom of the ship.

She's a one man vessel and fully fueled can survive in space for about two months before needing to dock, but thankfully that's plenty of time with today's advances in faster than light travel.
