Okay, so things hadn't been going that great for me. It had been a couple of months since I was laid off from my last job and finding a new one had proved troublesome. My diet of ramen and frozen pizza had well and truly gotten old when,

             the invitation arrived. 

It was an invite to work as a maid and custodian of a temple I hadn't even heard of. But apparently it was pretty close, just a short drive through one of the nearby forests. Whoever sent it was apparently aware of my situation, lodgings and food were provided! It seemed too good to be true, but at this point, could I really turn the offer down?
