Campfire Story: Rough 1 (Patreon)

So since the artist doen ad the words until we finish the pages I figured Id post the write up as the artist gets it from me. So you can sorta see the creative process! Also this might be the chonkest version of Mr. Wiggles to date. 

The first page will be open to everyone, the remaining rough pages will be $5+ locked.  Ejoy everyone and stay cool. 

Premise: Isabelle, Dave, and Wiggles are on a camping trip in the forest.  Dave tells the story of a local legend of an old brushfire fighter who haunts these woods, splashing water to prevent fires.  Isabelle runs afoul of this phantom, getting doused repeatedly, though she suspects Dave is to blame.  Later as her and Dave start getting busy in the tent, a real fire starts and the phantom reveals himself.  They help the spirit save the day and in doing so help him finally rest.

Page 1-

Panel 1: Establishing shot, Wide, showing a few trees and a clearing with a tent, there is a lake as well.  The light from a lamp is coming from the center.  It is a quiet, but very hot night 

Isa( small in the frame or silhouette): Gaaaaah… How can the sun be down but it’s still so hot out?

Panel 2: Isabelle, sitting on a stump near a tent, fanning herself, sweat dripping from her forehead.  She’s in a v-neck shirt, shorts, and hiking boots.  Wiggles(the corgi dog) is next to her, panting. Dave, sitting on a log near Isabelle.  He’s in a t-shirt and pants, pressing a thermos to his temple.

Dave: Yeah, I didn’t expect it to be over 90 at night. And it’s dry out we can’t even have a fire

Panel 3: Closer shot of Isabelle, perhaps bending over to show some cleavage down her shirt, or her shoulders slumped in a defeated manner.

Isa: Can’t make smores… Can’t go in the tent… Need a distraction…

Panel 4: Close up of Dave, an idea sparking in his mind.

Dave: Well… have you ever heard the tale of the Phantom Fireman?

Panel 5: Isa and Wiggles both look to Dave, quizzical looks on their faces.
