Rainbow-banding is officially dead. (Sega Mega Drive 720p/50fps capture test - SCART-HDMI/Elgato))

Just quickly showing off the much better quality of capture that I can now get for my MD. Might need a bit more tweaking here and there but certainly an improvement, I think you'll agree... Techie things: MD/SNES is connected via RGB SCART to a SCART/HDMI adapter, which is set to 720p mode so that 50fps can be captured (not a whole lot of point setting it to 1080p in any case...) Footage captured with an Elgato Game Capture HD - little bit of tweaking done to the brightness/contrast and saturation. The resulting footage captures in stretched out 16:9 so I had to fiddle about with cropping/track motion and the like to get it back to 4:3 in post-production. However if I'm just playing and not using the Gato, my TV will default to regular 4:3. Thanks for watching!
