this hit hard to me. I was also disowned by two families. My grandfather disowned me from my biological family after I witnessed his misdeeds, and my adopted family disowned me after I was framed for stealing from the family. I was told it was a gift, it was a chessboard and $20. That's all it took. hard life to live with no family.

That is really rough. I hope you are doing ok these days? You at least have some friends who still have your back?

Kellobyte

I do but not much. Introvert that had to move into a new city. Covid making everything 10x more lonelier.

This really hits hard. Being disowned was my biggest fear about coming out as trans to my family. I’m very fortunate and happy that it went much better than it did for Evan.

Oh damn! So this one gonna be EMOTIONAL emotional! well done TFS!!

Yeah... that really does hit hard. It seems the older generations didn't get the same lessons to treat everyone like your equal, no matter who they love or how they identify. I was fortunate enough to wait until I moved out before starting hormones, but even today, the one I called "mom" for the better part of 13 years wants to erase my identity, but I tend to ignore her. I know who I am.

Bad Parents :( What our boy now girl needs is a good parent, and she's standing right there

This is one of those cases where "I'd like clarification on exactly which way that is, but I worry that asking would be offensive"

... This feels uncomfortably familiar, but in a good way
