July Update (Patreon)

Howdy Gang!

You may have noticed that the patreon posts have slowed down in the past couple months because we’re starting to really focus on our final production for the year being Otachan series 2 and we’re not ready to really show too much of it just yet.

We’re targeting a release date of October and November which would contain the first two episodes. With the former being released on October 29th and the next likely being released November 26th. These are our target dates so no promises if we definitely make them but we’ll give it our best shot!

Production is speeding up and now our main focus for the rest of the year. We believe this to be our greatest production to date so we really want to make sure it's something we can always look back on with the utmost pride.

We had another production in the pipeline to premiere after Discord Girls, however we’re pushing it back to focus completely on Otachan Season 2 because we don't want to get sidetracked with the goal we now have our sights set on!

Discord girls really has been a huge success for us bringing out a new IP. We had no idea what the response was going to be or if our core audience would even like it. The response has really been amazing for us. It has given us new confidence to believe we can work on new projects that don't have to solely be Otachan. We can work on bringing new and unique characters to live in their own world.

We achieved our goal that we strived for with Discord Girls. We look through the comments and see new people who have never seen what we make on OtakuVs. A similar response kept appearing once it hit the youtube algorithm “What is Anime Source?” or “Anime Name?”

Now this is one of the greatest compliments we can receive, commenters not understanding it's our own production but they’re thinking we’re just reuploading anime clips. o(≧▽≦)o

We’re taking what we’ve done these past 3 years and making Otachan Season 2 into the biggest self funded indie anime production ever created!
