Update and Posters! (Patreon)

Hey guys! 

Wow... things have been nuts. 2021. For a lot (if not, all of us), for sure, but specifically (in regards to this post) my life and BSV. For anyone who has followed the events of the year or deduced others, I promise... there's been so much more going on in the background. That said, your patience continues to inspire and awe me, and I genuinely can't thank you all enough.

Chapter 003 has been pretty much all but done for a little while now. However, I've held off on publishing until I can get all the voices in. So, for you guys, 003 is old news, though there will be some surprises on the actual upload.

I've started the animatic for 004, and will complete that ASAP. Due to recent personal events I actually dropped two animation commission clients (stuff like the Cherry videos, etc) so I can focus on both the personal issues and BSV. 

Chapters 001-003 have been pretty much solo ventures. And I think I've proven to myself (and hopefully you guys), that if I had to work without a team, I can and will continue to produce BSV. That said, it's time I commit to a team. 

I've said it before, I know. But the search often has taken so long, while I'm simultaneously working on it, that at some point I just say "fuck it, I'll finish it!" But in order for the story of BSV to move with more efficacy in a timely manner, it's time to assemble a team. 

BSV as a learning experience has been amazing. I'm certainly a lot more familiar with the process and better understand the expectations that come with the work. My next big learning landmark will be "how to work with a team on a project I am so personally invested in." I've had no problem working with teams for third-party projects, but when it comes to BSV, I've had a hard time (a) finding the right people, (b) handing over a certain amount of control and trusting a team to execute a very personal vision.

In the past few weeks, I have (behind the scenes) reached out to folks for leads on finding animators to help with the project. I can't say I've committed my full attention to it, due to everything else going on. But 004 will have a team. If by the time the animatic is complete and there is still no team, then rather than start animation myself, I'll move on to the animatic of 005 ... and so on. Hopefully, that's a worst case scenario. Regardless, you all will be updated with progress and animatics.

THE POSTERS! 

Soooooo, ANS (amazing artist) designed two pieces of BSV art (one commissioned by our very own Bri), and I wanted to send you guys copies as a thank you for all your support and patience. I'll be making a separate post with all the details of when and how I'd like to send the posters to you all. But I've got plenty of them, and none of them are for sale. They are yours. Also, they are 12x18!

I return to Burbank tomorrow. Haven't been back home to Seattle since Covid hit. Was a nice week to catch up with the fam, but it's time to get back to reality and lay some personal shit to rest, sort out the near future, settle into some much needed structure, and get to fucking work.
