BSV 001 | Update 01 : Footage and Backgrounds (Patreon)

Hey gang! Just poppin' by to share some footage of the project. It's not finished footage, still needs some tweaks to composition and the addition of lip-sync and stuff, but you can get a sense of the look and feel (at least for this chapter).

In terms of assistance with the project... I initially thought allotting $2,000 a month for backgrounds and clean up would be more than sufficient, but after reaching out to a number of folks, I realized just how little that would yield (looks like Dorito was a steal at $2,000 for the cleanup on the test scene). So, while I'm still hiring folks, the bulk of the animation/artwork/backgrounds is still in my hands (on top of boarding, writing, editing, etc).

On top of that, you'll probably notice that things are a bit more "animation" than "motion-comic", but's partially because it's the first chapter, but also the direction I'm thinking it needs to go. Animation won't be "smooth", but it'll be more present than I anticipated. Still plenty of still-shots when I can get away with it. 

So those two factors (lack of help and more animation) will be slowing things down a bit.

That said, as I learn more AfterEffects (which has been a BLAST), I should be able to do more with less, or at the very least, work faster and more efficiently within the programs I'm using.

Of course, future challenges await (namely dealing with vehicles and vehicle chases).
