The OH, GOD! series was a late-career vehicle for comedian George Burns, who was best known for his comedic partnership with his wife Gracie Allen (she passed away in 1964). In OH, GOD! and its sequels, Burns plays the titular God.

The rom-com collaborations of Rock Hudson and Doris Day aren't a traditional franchise - there's no continuity between them - but they tend to be thought of as one.  Hudson and Day are one of the most indelible partnerships in movie history, made all the more poignant by their friendship through his battle with AIDS in 1985. If you've seen Peyton Reed's underrated DOWN WITH LOVE (2003) - you'd get the gist of this series.
