Good day!

Got a new update to show the Living Saint's first pose and terrain.  One of the things Sisters of Battle are known for is setting everything aflame.  So for this project, I wanted to show the Living Saint doing what she does best - purging daemons and burning witches.   Some would even say their love for the Emperor is only matched for their love of setting heretics on fire.

I've updated the Iron Halo design, although I can't really decide which one to stick with so I'll probably provide all three as options.  I'm also working on a second pose which will show the Living Saint actively wiping out her enemies.

As always, feel free to let me know what you think of the design so far.  I'll also post some guidelines about voting for next month's project soon.  Stay tuned!

I really like this pose. Hoping you make this for an epic size resin print for my X10. Would look great as a large display. Still seems like something is off with the head size? Looking at proportions, width wise it looks like her head is as wide as her chest? I like the different halo's and speaking of fire, what about making a halo that is ablaze or an inferno? Should the hand be tilted a little? Different ways to point while walking or doing an action? Not a critique or asking for a change. This is an amazing piece, really! This is the kind of stuff I would pay for just one or two as epic size pieces a month.

Thanks! 👍 Right now, I'd like to sculpt out the major proportions but will address minor issues like the ones you mentioned afterwards.

that pose is awesome, you can really feel the judgement. reminds me of the Watchmen movie trailer when Dr. Manhattan is disintegrating people. still feel like her forehead is a too tall? Really really looking forward to this one being finished i'm planning on having it professionally painted to go with the rest of my Sisters army

Cool, will be interesting to see what a professional painter can do! Yeah, still fine tuning details, but I want to get the major parts of the project completed first.

Awesome work, once again ! For the halo, how about a simple circle ? To contrast with the highly decorated armor. And it would look like the ones you find in renaissance paintings for instance.

A fantastic pose and base, though I feel like a more dynamic hand gesture could work better, possibly a curled hand, as if she's summoning the fire through the gesture? Or perhaps using her sword to point at the demon in flames? I don't know very much regarding the Sisters of Battle (or Warhammer in general), so perhaps that type of gesture wouldn't work, but I feel like her pointing a finger seems somewhat... not necessarily underwhelming, but less imposing than the rest of her. Apologies if my comment offends.

Thanks! I chose the pointing pose because it sort of serves two situations. It could either mean, she's issuing a challenge to an opponent or she's conjuring warpfire to burn someone (like that heretic!). Her next pose will be more aggressive.

Yep, thought that head is too big too. And the look on her face may be a bit more "blessed", than this "warrior-ish" as it is right now. If you ask me, I like the way Celestine described in the Shroud of Night - with kind and all-forgiving smile on her lips. With the face she has right now she should be fighting no less than a demon prince, or even Keepr of Secrets herself. BTW, duel between Celestine and The Queen of Daemons might be the theme for your next month as you are planning to do a huge-ass demon. If that would be what you are going to do, I will continue my subscription with no thinking at all. BTW-BTW, one of my printer is Anycubic Chiron. What size do YOU want me to print it?

3DArtGuy

Haha, she must be huge! But seriously, my depiction of the Living Saint will be her more martial aspect instead of her benevolent one. I want to show just how terrifying a Living Saint can be when roused to anger. I mean, you wouldn't want to piss off Sanguinius either right? 😉

awesome sorry for going on about the forehead it was just the main thing i noticed. also about the halo if you're planning on continuing to try new options for that i personally really like the shape of the third one, the spikier one, and the ornateness of the other two so maybe working some of the fleur de lis embellishments into the shape of the other one would look good? also im excited there will be more poses. (new to this patreon so i wasn't 100% sure what to expect) a flying pose would be really cool.

@BullHackOff...talk about a demon fight, don't make me break out the big boy , the Cr 10 S5 that I put on steroids (that I thought would be cool to have and would use every single day, and yet have rarely used), lol. I keep trying to talk myself into getting a Phenom or the soon to be released Noir or L from Peopoly. Just can't find a good enough long term reason to do so :(

Okay the dude is cool the wing details look like you either spent hours on a single feather and then pasted it all around, the armour is incredibly detailed, and those roccocco halos are wonderful.... I honestly love everything i'm seeing. (except those flames... with all that detail they end up looking lackluster... congrats! You just cornered yourself into having to do the impossible and try to make 3d flames... "decent". I would never want to be in your shoes right now. 😂👍💖)

This is really cool. Just became a Patreon today and excited for this piece of work and the others to follow in the coming months. Would love to see you try Robute Gulliman

I love it!!! I was afraid a bit in the beginning as it is something that already is quite represented but you gave it a very distinctive look of a saint. Also, I don't see flames but more like demonic "essence" being drawn out. So it's no biggie if it's not so detailed.

3DArtGuy

Thanks! Yeah I'm going to have to work on the flames. But I'll get the Living Saint done first!
