Hello!

New Grimdark updates are here with a bunch of community requests included! The majority of the Grimdark WIPs are not on Patreon anymore.  But community members can still access the latest WIPs as mentioned in previous posts.  Just to be thorough, community members will receive an email with the access information as well. Please leave feedback and reactions on this posts. Thanks!

So one thing I'd say really stands out about Perturabo in the stories is how he bottles up his anger. It's always just simmering beneath the surface as the Lord of Iron picks at slights (real or imagined) like scab wounds. But when his bitterness bubbles over into full blown rage, it often comes out in explosive and...interesting ways.

One of his memorable outbursts was the Titan incident I mentioned in the first post this month. The why isn't too important but just know that Fulgrim was being extra insufferable (if that's actually possible) so in an impressive display of subtlety, Perturabo lulled his brother into a false sense of security. Then he grabbed Fulgrim's head and performed the Joker maneuver from the Dark Knight before giving Mr. Perfect one of the most one sided smack downs in the HH books, a scene most readers cheered throughout. 👏 The Khan might give the best burns but Perturabo has dished out the most humiliating thrashings. Just ask Angron. 😄

The funniest part were the Emperor's Children who just stood there impotently as their Primarch got a lesson in humility. Anyways, a lot of IW fans requested this diorama so I did my best to make a faithful reenactment to that scene.

But when Perturabo is not putting Fulgrim in his place, the Lord of Iron is dishing out the pain with different melee and shooting poses. One is a braced shooting pose (like how Terminators unleash their torpedoes from DOW 2). I also gave him some pretty swinging poses so he can crush some Imperial Fists.

This is semi-canon as during the Battle of Phall, a bunch of Dorn's sons actually managed to board Perturabo's flagship and try to kill him in his personal chambers. Sure, there was no chance the IF would actually succeed but the fact that they got so far was a huge blow to Perturabo's psyche, making him even more paranoid in the process. Now that I think about it, this incident might actually be a contributing factor to why Perturabo doesn't trust his own sons and actually uses automatons as his personal honour guard (Iron Circle). I also have a tinfoil hat theory that Tzeentch did some warp shenanigans during the Battle of Phall because holy cow, there were a lot of coincidences. Plus the Iron Warriors would have straight up lost and put a huge dent in the whole Heresy.

Since Temeter was technically a winner this month, community members requested I make a useable proxy for him on tabletop. Death Guard predominantly used MK IV Power Armor during the HH, so I came up with a couple versions for him and more generic Space Marine proxies that so community members can use to build a squad.

Fantasy voting is underway so feel free to cast your votes! I will unveil this month's bonus reward when the final results are in. Stay tuned!

I want a little word bubble over the brother that says "ouch..."

I dunno, maybe it's just me, but I think his thighs might be a bit small/thin? It kind of looks like he forgot to put on the thigh armor pieces or something lol. Otherwise, love to see Fulgrim's face smashed in 👍🏻

That time Perturabo smashed his toy titan with Fulgrim's face is fantastic!

Dude, that Mk.IV is kickass, I look forward to scratchbuilding/converting them to around 17 other legions!

It wouldn't translate well visually but having him looking out a viewport with the receding Earth in it with both middle fingers raised would make me laugh. . .

Thanks! 👍 Yeah, it's still a WIP but the final version should work.
