Azul Here. First thing's first, check the patreon copy for those who were experiencing issues to see how it's working for you. We're still coming out with bug fixes for everything else as well.

Now onto the big question at hand. Why am I taking the loss? Well, it was discussed in the past and thrown around a few times that we were going to become an app. How was that going to be done. Best way, unity. Over the next proceeding months we were going to dish it out slowly. Become mobile friendly, become downloadable, have less bugs. Bugs suck... But with recent events + the issues of being an html, we're thinking of just biting the bullet and doing it immediately rather than over time.

What I was told for changing over is unity comes with built in compatibility and its own launcher so we can have desktop versions instead, while html is being troubled with the incompatibility with phones and universal system. Can these issues be fixed, eventually. Can be fixed on unity faster, I was told yes.

How fast? At best 1 month, at worst 3 months. I'm thinking of just planning for the worst. Which would be that 3 maybe 4, but I think it's better to go with that then anything else. Give more time to make sure everything works. That would mean that the game would be put on hold again. Only this time, where it was a simple move javascript/css game to a better javascript/css engine and can still dish out content updates, this wouldn't be able to dish them out as much. And because of that, both the 5 dollar (Explorer) and 15 dollar (Resident) tiers would be gone until the move is finished and new content has be placed in, because it would be impossible to give you guys their benefits during this process.

For you guys, that would mean you would be getting updates to the engine (playable of course) AND your save files will still be useful. Whatever you have on there could be transferred to the unity version. While mainly the early viewing would be mostly the sketches and finished pictures the artist would give. If there isn't enough for that month however, everyone on that tier would be refunded. While the money helps us get these out, I don't want this to just be us taking money without giving back.

Then once it's all said and done, all the tiers will come back along with the finished hub updates as well.

What does that mean for us, less money. Pictures might take a hit because of it but that's pretty much it. The artists will try, but when we start to receive less, we all got to make up that loss somehow. The coder who will be doing this however, will be making more money throughout it because we want this to be a few month affair. And aside from me who will still have to pump out the work, will be doing a lot as well.

While the alternative would be just to go with the og plan and do this over the course of the year. I'm leaning towards the former. It hurts but least it'll mean offline version + mobile support sooner. And, if all goes well, could be done sooner! I just want to make sure it comes out with as few of bugs as possible.

That sucks. Though long term I think it’s a good move.
