Blog: I Started Crocheting Again (Patreon)

Hello my little Gumdrops! The past week and a half I started to crochet again. So, I’ve been spending a lot of time doing that. I use to crochet when I was a kid but, I never learned anything beyond a blanket. I decided to challenge myself as an adult and make a sweater for my stuffie, Caramel!

It’s not a perfect sweater, I forgot to rotate it a few times, or did a single crochet instead of double.. but! Caramel still loved it and it still fits!

After the sweater I decided to try making little appliques. I started with a heart at first! It’s also imperfect I had a hard time with the instructor I think..

But I attached it to Caramel’s sweater anyway even though it’s a little imperfect. I think the imperfections of the sweater is what gives it charm. I will always know this project as the first.

I tried making hearts with another instructor online and yes! I got hearts down perfectly with them on the first try.

Then, I decided to try to make Purin without a pattern! I learned how to do a circle and then eyed it from there. I think I’m most proud of this one because there was no pattern.

I hope to eventually make myself some cute clothes and more things for my stuffies. For now I’m mostly just practicing and learning.

I did end up returning some clothes I bought the other week that I didn’t like the fit of and got some new tops. I’ll take some photos in those soon. I’ve been planning out videos to film this week so hopefully those go well. I didn’t really go out much because I’m saving my money right now for something I’ll tell you about soon. (If it goes well lol)

I’ve been addicted to spicy avocado toast again. I’m drinking black rose tea here which is a loose leaf blend of Indian black tea, rose blossoms, cornflower, and sunflower. I really like it, I feel like Indian black tea isn’t as perfume-y as English black tea (which is more popular). Plus it isn’t as.. astringent as most black tea and because it’s got the flowers in it that makes it more light and less bitter. (But not sweet)

Trying nail wraps for the first time! I love them I gotta get more soon. I honestly hate painting my nails cause I’m bad at it, these make them look like salon done but in way less time.

Finally, I got this beefcake Purin! It’s so silly 😂
