Have you heard about New Advanced Sales Tax? (Patreon)

You might or might not hear it and it is going to apply in almost every part of the world for every internet service such as Patreon, Qidian, Webnovel, Grammarly, Netflix, etc.

You might not like it and even hate it since it is going to increase the price, but I'm also helpless in this situation. It might be because of coronavirus that the government decided to put a tax on the internet service since there are a lot of businesses that are affected because of coronavirus and only internet businesses that aren't affected by it and are flourishing.

So this tax is also going to help, aid, assistance, etc for everyone who is affected by coronavirus such as building a new hospital or building to take care of the person who is infected by that virus, give assistance such as facemask, rapid test for everyone, etc. 

(So you can think of it as a donation which will make you better) 

There are a lot of things, but if I list everything then this announcement might get longer. 

This tax is a bit similar to when you're eating at a restaurant or cafe. In the restaurant or cafe, you need to pay the tax on your food and that is the same. 

(You might also realize that the restaurant, hotel, cafe, or every hospitality industry are the most businesses that are being affected by a coronavirus which might be one of the reasons why those business owners thought that it is unfair for an internet business to not receive any tax).

(Note: I've heard that there are a lot of restaurant businesses that have gone closed because of this disaster. For example, I remember in the newspaper that I read that there is a restaurant with revenue of 10 billion IDR (rupiah, not dollar alright? It's the same as 1 million USD) every month and has decreased to 500 million IDR (which means only 50K USD) every month.

I was speechless when I read that news and wondered how that business can stay alive in this condition. So compared to them my situation is better).

I've been learning about this "new advanced sales tax" for the past week while asking here and there. I've somehow learned how to minimize the tax to make all of you to not pay more than you need to when you become a patron (again next month). 

Taxes are different in every region and some places might not be charged with a tax (lucky for you since mine is being charged). 

I know that it is hard and I'm not surprised that most people might be angry or decide not to become a patron again, but for everyone who decides to continue then I can say that you're all rock!
