McCloud might be an official part of the StarWolf team after his embarrassing defeat, but in way more of a cheerleader or housewife capacity than a fellow mercenary. At first this was a deeply humiliating way to rub in his "inferior" pilot status, but over time, the lifestyle and strangely affectionate attention has really grown on him. The constant stream of mission funds being spent on his cosmetic gender-bending procedures each year most likely aided in his dramatic overall transformation. Keeping himself pretty, the base clean, and making sure the boys' various needs are attended to on a regular basis simply become a fulfilling (albeit guilty pleasure) routine for the former ace pilot. 

Though from time to time he'll stare out at the stars and sigh with envy. But then the buzz of the dryer will suddenly remind him that Wolf and Krystal's boxers wont fold themselves.
