I wouldn’t usually do these sort of posts, but this is kind of a rough one.

Sad news from the dragon ball world; creator Akira Toriyama has sadly passed away. I believe he still had a lot of new works on the go, as well as the continued contribution to the Dragon Ball Super manga.

One of my biggest influences in art, I never would have drawn so many suggestive and fetish pieces of Bulma if he hadn’t created her. So many other fan artists can replicate his style almost flawlessly, but I’ve never been able to get it. While yes, the Dragon Ball series is legit my (only) favorite manga and anime, he did create a handful of other whimsical tales as well, all with that perfect, simplistic style we’ve all come to know.

Rest in Piece.

When I was a kid Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball Z was my introduction to Anime and boy what a great experience it has been. Still love the shows, manga, and video game adaptations to this day. I loved his style of art which would eventually get me into the Dragon Quest series which have become my favorite JRPG series. He will be greatly missed. RIP Akira Toriyama

I remember seeing the announcement only a couple of hours after. I thought it was fake but it wasn't, RIP.
