Fizzy elementals origin lore comic (Patreon)

 What a mouthful title, hehe!

 Fizzy elementals are a species I created some time ago! I even use one as a profile picture :D I've been thinking a lot about it and how it had an old unfinished origin comic around. I've been seriously considering starting a webcomic and decided to give a retake and this time, actually finish it!!! cause now I'm a person that finishes their stuff!!!!!

 Here's the old ones for comparison!

 I honestly should worked the composition out, but decided to just work with the old one! It gave me some insight but I still have much to actually learn about it, it's definitely a difficult topic cause it feels intuitive as hell!

 I also wanted to make the primal fizzies with actual designs now! They were meant to look simple with "fundamental" as a theme, like the three base shapes and three primary colors!

 And redesigned Rootbeer! He has an ever fizzing king mantle!

Here's the sketch for the pages! as I said, I heavily based it on the older ones so I didn't experiment with composition;

Some lineart! Like it was honestly a time I had to be very patient with myself tbh. For example look how vacant it looks in lineart stage. It looked ugly because of it, and it really stressed me out!! But I promised to not drop it and was patient lol.... I have to get used to the process and try to customize it for myself. I'll definitely try building a more economic style for comics with more page

 Hard shadows! Things starter looking more dimensional and pretty, which helped me persevere! Shading is so important.

Then this color sketch uplift me!! It really set the mood. I used a bizarre green before, but pink feels way more sweet, don't you think?

 Textless version! what I learned from it is that I think I have to lay down speech bubbles and text first. I have a very hard time thinking on how to put the text and which font size ratio overall is interesting...... is the text too big? too small? who knows?!?! here I think I made the letters to small and I was veeeeery conscious of not covering art with text, which is dumb if I already knew where text should be. Next time i'll try minding bubbles IN the composition!!!!!!!

 Makes me think if I'd be able/if I have what it takes/if i'd actually like or have fun/ to work on a webcomic though. I have to get experimental I think.......... Many thoughts, as you can see!
