I have an odd relationship with the blank comic page. Which is not unique to me of course - everyone does. But over the last year or so, I've been changing the way I approach it and I feel like I'm getting better results. I was thinking about it recently when I happened upon a Neil Gaiman interview where he talked about the differences in writing a novel and a comic. Outside of his usually, 'try stuff', 'finish stuff', 'don't worry about the work' attitude, he also talked a little about building story around the length of the page and where ads were placed and when readers turned the page.  It was all very interesting and a nice reminder to not take it all too seriously.
