Gummed Up. (Patreon)

After doing some research and looking at options, I've been working on my Gumroad page. I've never prioritized e-books but thought I'd finally put my old books "Low Hanging Fruit", "Longtime Companion" and "Attack of the 12-Inch Roommate" in PDF format for anyone who wants them. This is has been much more challenging than I anticipated.

I made Attack of the 12-Inch Roommate first and then decided - based on my experience of building that book in In-Design that combining my Abel books into a new Abel Boddy (The Complete Incomplete Abel Boddy) was a bad idea - because the file would be too big. So I broke it into two volumes and began working from there. I managed to get Abel Boddy Vol.1 done and uploaded, but...

Over the course of this process I've had so many In-Design errors due to lost files, so many re-dos to meet Gumroad's specifications, so many times where I simply can't find a cover I worked on two weeks ago that I'm shocked I haven't thrown my computer out of the window.

Just this morning, I sat down and decided "I am going to finish this" and built a primary folder for the assets, re-did my thumbnails to match, set up my cover spreads, re-did some missing files, drafted everything in Gumroad and then when I went to generate the Vol. 2 E-book it says it can't due to a new error.

So I am stepping away from my keyboard and hopefully some day soon I'll have the emotional capacity to figure this out. I really want to utilize e-books and Gumroad as I work so I'm making a note to follow the lead of the Gumroad people I follow and keep my page count to a reasonable amount.
