W&D: Calliope (Patreon)

I've been doing a retread on the rough passes on these W&D pages and decided to get some clarity on greater world building by just focusing on the characters being introduced on the page.

This is Calliope. And this is some of what I know about her:

1. She is the Operations Chief for a large corporation.
2. She’s married with two grown sons. Her husband runs a family-owned vineyard. Her boys are both skilled musicians.
3. She is extremely intelligent, always prepared and always thinks big picture.
4. She loves the arts.

Calliope is based off the Muse of Epic Poetry

1. She is almost 1,000 years old and spent the first half of her life traveling the world with her 8 younger sisters.
2. As a Muse she provides inspiration - which can also be used to effect memory. Her externally facing persona is one of an effective businesswoman but she is also an agent of Olympus who is craft-fully influencing society.
3. She worked under the previous CEO - before Zeus - during the forming of the company. In her role, she supports the choices of CEO even if it goes against her better judgment.

I made a very specific choice that Calliope be Indian or South Asian in ethnicity. When you first see her she is dressed professionally - but in a fushcia-y color so she stands out from all the other boring businessfolk. The outfit is also layered, so when I show her again in the same day, I can remove some pieces to give myself a little variety.
