I had some work travel a couple of weeks ago and I'm ramping up for some more time off in a week and a half, so most of my time has been going to getting projects into place for when I'm gone.

So, getting back on the W&D side has been... challenging, but I have been working on my new 12" pages, but sometimes it feels like I'm just going through the motions. This is evident when I finish sketching out a page everything feels lackluster.

(There's also always a concern I'll run out of steam before I get to the end of the story, so sometimes I'll just plot out pages at the end of the story to have something to work towards.)

When I get into this, to use Drag Race parlance: "This is just not GIVING" mood about my pages, I try to go back to the fundamentals - three point perspective! rule of thirds! A little John Buscema How to Draw Comics the Marvel Way! Some Frank Robbins!
